Are you keen and smart in analyzing and re-adjusting Paid (Social) campaigns based on data? Are you able to ‘play’ with results and A/B testing? Not only with data gathered from a country, but also between countries for comparison and idea building? Ask the ‘why’ question, discuss with team members and suggest new strategies to get a better ROI of the online marketing budget?
(One of our company members of the THE SCIENTISTS-community is looking for a data-driven SEA specialist international. Although this is not a hardcore scientists-vacancy within the domain of THE SCIENTISTS, we see enough analytical and some modeling activities, to go public with this vacancy via our website.)
Video on demand
Our company member is a scale-up in subscription based video-on-demand (VoD) platforms with a fast growing track record. The first platform was launched in 2017; currently they are active in 8 countries: NL, BE, UK, IE, AU, NZ, NO and SE and entertaining more than 100.000 paying subscribers.
To facilitate further grows, new countries and niche channels are opened. Current countries and channels and new ones, are marketed by online marketeers, CRO people, paid social specialists and hopefully you as the search engine advertising specialist.
The company has big fan base, amongst others on Facebook and Instagram, and performance budget to fulfill the marketing growth ambition. In order to grow from big to huge, further effort is put in growing the number of trial viewers and paid subscribers. This is where you could fit in.
Vacancy SEA specialist data-driven / international
Within a marketing & data team consisting of 8 colleagues, each with a different background, education and experience, you will be solely responsible for the SEA duties! Of course, you collaborate with the whole team, but it is you, who is in the lead of all relevant matters concerning search engine advertising campaigns and especially the analyses.
In this, for our member, new position, we think, you fit best if you have:
- Around two years of experience in online advertising in a similar role;
- Been working on agency side (or client side if managing multiple brands/labels);
- Experience with Google-Ads; experience with DV360 and/or SEO is a nice to have;
- Are able to plan, manage, measure and re-adjust strategies;
- An analytical mind.
Part of your job will also be:
- Budget management: co-decisions on spending;
- Day-to-day management: you run the channels you own/are responsible for and try new channels and other online opportunities.
Data analysis – roadmap – strategy
As you are data-driven and base your conclusions on the data analyses of the campaigns, you should be able to come up with ‘if-then’ scenarios which might become the roadmap for the future; it might even become the strategy for growth by means of marketing.
Your growth – career
Within the team, you will probably be the nerdy one (we at THE SCIENTISTS may say so as we are nerdy ourselves). This means: you are the best in analyzing data of views, visits, likes, trials etc. and translating them into meaningful insights what will be the basis of decision making by you and others.
Your growth – career within the company of our community member could be:
- Becoming a more in-depth marketing data specialist (who also helps out the CRO-manager) with SEA as a core or;
- Growing in a more broader sense to i.e. paid socials specialist, where ‘designing’ campaigns will become part of your job.
What we ask of you
Experience search engine advertising and its analyses, preferably on agency side and managing campaigns in multiple countries.
Know your way around with Google Ads, Analytics, (maybe also Facebook Business Manager, Business Managers of Pinterest, Snapchat and/or Tiktok)
Bachelor/master degree (or maybe studying) in Business Analytics, Data Science, Psychology, Econometrics or comparable.
Good sense of humor.
